What is the Blockchain?

The Blockchain is a decentralized distributed ledger - decentralized because everyone has access to the same information and distributed because everyone has a perpetually updated copy of it.  All transactions are by their very nature transparent because network-wide consensus is needed for clearance.  Once cleared, an indelible time stamp is created that cannot be altered. Spread throughout the network it becomes an integral part of the Blockchain itself.

The Blockchain stores, authenticates and timestamps any digitized information - promoting universally accessible intellectual property protections while allowing for the streamlined sharing of information- rendering middle of the chain interference and control obsolete.
